William “Bill” Ross Hartford Sr.
92, Foxworth
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, 2024, at Colonial Funeral Home for William Ross “Bill” Hartford Sr., 92, of Foxworth, who passed from this life into God’s presence on Thursday, Aug. 22. Graveside services followed in Turnage Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Darrin Powell officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25, at Colonial Funeral Home.

He was born in Bogalusa, La., to Oliver and Mattie Lee Hartford on Aug. 15, 1932. Upon graduating high school, he served his country as a Staff Sargent in the United States Air Force and furthered his education, attending the School of Banking at Louisiana State University where he majored in Finance and Horticulture. He was a proud LSU alumnus and avid fan of their sports teams. After a successful career as the Vice-President of Citizens Bank, he enjoyed many hobbies such as model trains, baking beautiful pound cakes and Christmas cookies, woodworking and being outdoors working in the garden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Hartford; and sister, Barbara Adams.
Left to forever cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Patricia “Patty” Hartford; son, William “Ross” Hartford Jr. (Kim); daughters, Danelle Killingsworth (Ernie) and Michelle (David); stepdaughter, Joy Breland (Joe) and grandchildren, Matt Stafford, Nate Stafford, Cade Killingsworth, Lindsay Bass, Leslie Foster, Mikell Thomas Breland, Will Breland, Brittany Penton and Alex White; nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Matt Stafford, Nate Stafford, Cade Killingsworth, Mikell Thomas Breland, Will Breland, Jason Regan, Ricky Baughman and Donovan Blackwell serving as pallbearers.
