Dean Powell, 54, of Foxworth, died Thursday, July 19, 2018, at his residence. He was the owner of Diesel Tech in Foxworth and an avid race car fan. Dean was of the Church of God faith.
Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Deanna Powell; and a brother, Perry Rex Powell. He is survived by his son, Brandon Dean (Chelsey) Powell of Starkville; parents, Donnie Rex and Jewell Smith Powell; two brothers, Britt Wayne (Amie) Powell, and Terry Gail (Tonya) Powell, both of Foxworth; and a nephew, Blake Powell.
Visitation was Tuesday, July 24 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia and funeral services officiated by the Rev. Cory Odom were Wednesday, July 25 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment followed at Morgantown Cemetery. Pallbearers were Blake Powell, Dewayne Powell, Clayton Powell, Jerry Williamson, Cory Martin and Frankie Palmer.
