Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at North Columbia Baptist Church for Gentry Morgan Terrell, 6, of Columbia, who died on Friday, Aug. 3 at her residence. Burial followed in Improve Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Joe Wiggins officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 6, until the time of the services on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at the North Columbia Baptist Church.
She was a member of Girl Scout Troop 3825 and a member of Girls in Action (GAs) at North Columbia Baptist Church. She received a Citizenship award at Columbia Primary School and was a 2018 kindergarten graduate. She loved to sing and dance, color, swim and go to Disney World. She had such a big heart and nurturing Spirit.
She was preceded in death by great-grandmothers, Francibel Wood, Llewellyn Terrell and Ruth Nolan, and great-grandfathers, Alvis Nolan, Edwin “Love” Terrell and Barney Pittman Sr.
Survivors include her parents, Brydon and Amy Terrell of Columbia; two brothers, Wyatt Terrell and Waylon Terrell, both of Columbia; grandparents, Tom and Teresa Terrell and Stacy and Lisa Nolan, all of Columbia; great-grandparents, Rev. Matthew and Juanita Graham of Columbia; two uncles, Jon Nolan of Columbia and Brant Terrell (Jennifer) of Columbia; one aunt, Katie Smith (Nathan) of Mathiston, and cousins, Ellis Terrell of Columbia and Elynn Smith of Mathison.
Pallbearers were Jon Nolan, Robbie Gill, Nathan Smith, Brant Terrell, Michael Broom and Edward Entsminger. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Prine, Bradley Mobley, Blake Mobley, Brian Pittman and Braxton Pittman.
