Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, at New Liberty Baptist Church in Mt. Olive for Jimmy Gail Corley, 75, of Mize, who died on Tuesday, Aug. 14 at his residence. Burial followed in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, and from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 17 at New Liberty Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
He was born on June 30, 1943, to the late William Curtis and Kathrine "Pauline" (Richardson) Corley. He was a retired construction truck driver and also served in the National Guard. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and son.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth Corley.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra "Kay" Byrd Corley; son, Terry Michael Corley (Micki); daughter, Teresa Lowery (Ricky); grandchildren, Marshall Corley (Maria), Courtney Gartman (Jared), Molly Corley, Abby Lowery and Michael Corley, and sister, Janice Sue Norris.
Services were entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
