Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, at Hathorn Funeral Home for Jolane Riley, 78, of Columbia, who died on Sunday, Sept. 16 at her residence. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Bro. Reed Houston officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until the time of the services on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at Hathorn Funeral Home.
As a lifelong resident of Marion County, she grew up in Foxworth. She loved each of her grandchildren dearly, and she also enjoyed gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Kathleen Foxworth.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, William Riley; one son, David Riley (Kimberly); two daughters, Dorrie Riley Roney and Jolene Dollar; one sister, Helen Foxworth; eight grandchildren, Hannah Dearman, Katie Dollar, Davis Dollar, Lane Roney, Olivia Sinclair, Mary Katherine Easley (Brad), Leigh Ann McMahon (Alston), Caroline Riley and Davis Riley; and nine great-grandchildren, Abby Easley, Emma Easley, Anna Bradley Easley, Adaline McMahon, Spencer Herrington, Carson Zinimon, Carell Johnson II and Riley Sinclair.
Pallbearers were Brad Easley, Alston McMahon, Davis Riley, Davis Dollar, Harold Riley and Jimmy Pitts.
