Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, at Colonial Funeral Home for Lujuana Greer McMichael, 59, of Columbia, who died on Aug. 26, in Hattiesburg. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Dr. Keith Gordon and the Rev. O.J. Seal officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 28, at Colonial Funeral Home.
A native of Marion County, she was a homemaker and a member of East Columbia Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Alma Greer, and one nephew.
Survivors include her husband, Gilbert McMichael of Columbia; father, Bobby L. Greer of Columbia; sons, Geoffrey McMichael (Christi) and Brandon McMichael (Kimberly), all of Columbia; sister, Dawn Greer of Columbia; brother, Bobby Ray Greer (Nancy) of Columbia; three grandchildren, Caitlin McMichael, Dixie McMichael and Carleigh McMichael; four nephews and many other friends.
Colonial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
