Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, at Hathorn Funeral Home for Samuel Arthur Morris, 84, of Columbia, who died on Monday, Sept. 17 in Columbia. Burial followed in Improve Baptist Cemetery. Bro. Darel Daniels will officiate. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at Hathorn Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Schuyler and Eva Morris, and one brother, Jerry Oscar Morris.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Morris; one daughter, Samantha Morris Redfield (Nathan); two brothers, Paul Morris (Juanita) and Tony Morris; two grandchildren, Cooper Hayes Redfield and Miles Ladner Redfield, and one sister-in-law, Martha Morris.
