A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Pascagoula for William Eugene Sawyer, 74, of Moss Point, formerly of Columbia, who died on Friday, Aug. 10 in Moss Point. Bro. Norris Sumrall will officiate at the service.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Lynn Sawyer; parents, Lamar Anderson Sawyer and Pearl Moody Sawyer; sister, Opal Sawyer Battle, and brothers-in-law, Michael Glenn Bryant and Dale Lee.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Lee Sawyer of Moss Point; daughters, Amber Miller of Ocean Springs and Angela Douglas (Walter) of Leroy, Ala.; brother, Winston L. Sawyer (Cheryl) of Houma, La.; sister, Dianne Sawyer Bryant of Columbia; brother-in-law, Vester Lee of Columbia; nephews, Tim Battle, Brannon H. Bryant, Brett Sawyer, Kevin Sawyer, Patrick Sawyer and Tony Lee; nieces, Theresa Battle White, Angie Morgan, Becky Boudreaux and Angela Lee, and a number of great nieces, great nephews and friends.
