Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, in Kokomo Community Cemetery for Mary Eva McArn Newton, 84, of Beaumont, Texas, who passes away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 27. Rev. Glenn Nace officiated at the services.
She was born on June 22, 1939. She was a native of Kokomo and was a resident of Beaumont, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Dick McArn and Mary Lee McArn; and husband, John S. Newton.
Her memory will be forever cherished by a large family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Steve Newton (Mary), Mary Newton Kerr (Leo), Elissa, Lucas, John Zachary Newton (Stacia), Collin and Kennedy, Cynthia Henderson (Gerry), Megan, and Hunter (Petunia), Ricky Newton, Emma, Tyler and Ethan; three sisters, Bobbye Toney (John), Louise Prisk (friend Rodney Pleasants) and Debbie Carter (Stephen); sister-in-law, Gayle Alford (Clint); her dear friend and faithful caregiver, Rena’ Sanders; and many nieces and nephews.
