Funeral services were held at noon on Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, at Good Hope Baptist Church for Norma Carolyn Crawley, 83,
of Columbia, who died peacefully
on Tuesday, Sept. 26. Burial followed in Good Hope Cemetery. Bro. Johnny Williams officiated at the services. Bro. William Anthony provided special music. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of the services on Friday, Sept. 29, at Good Hope Baptist Church.
She lived a beautiful life of 83 years surrounded by the love and devotion of her husband, family and grandchildren. She was born into Good Hope Church and was a faithful member. She had a passion for cooking and baking. Some of her hobbies included gardening, playing games and watching hummingbirds. Her heart’s desire was to see her family saved.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jasper “J.C.” Crawley; mother, Edna Crawley; one sister, Yvon King; one son, Danny O’Neal Crawley; one granddaughter, Chassity Lynn Merkel; and one great-grandson, Michael Simon Merkel.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Kenneth Crawley; two daughters, Cindy Quinter (Robert) and Sandra Bass (Wesley); one grandson, Robert Quinter III (Alyssa); three granddaughters, Chauncy Watts (Nick), Casey Meitzler (Eric) and Amy Robertson (Josh); great-grandchildren, Jackson, Carter, Canaan, Morgan, London, Crimson, Rizer, Landon, Lane and Reese; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Eric Meitzler, Josh Robertson, Landon Robertson, Lane Robertson, Miles Maliden, Greg Manton, Glen Patterson and William Anthony. Honorary were Reese Robertson, Rizer Meitzler, Josh Anthony and Jerry Hood.
