Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church for Rev. Dr. Sammie Lee Irvin Jr., 61, of Sandy Hook, who died on Sept. 23, in Columbia. Burial followed in Springhill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Versie D. Lee officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, at Washington Funeral Home.
