Marion County Superintendent Carl Michael Day spoke to educators from across the state at the Save the Children Education Summit in Jackson. Day spoke about his personal experiences and challenged participants to find their “why” and purpose for what they do each day. Day received a Champion for Children Award at the summit as well. Save the Children boasts two successful programs at East and West Marion Schools.
