Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at Emmanuel Baptist in Columbia for Azell F. Price, 79, of Columbia, who passed away on Thursday, Aug. 24, in Hattiesburg. Interment followed in Emmanuel Cemetery. Bro. Lloyd Thompson, Bro. Blake Houston and Bro. Ralph Sanford officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until the time of the services on Saturday, Aug. 26, at Emmanuel Baptist.
She was a longtime faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she served many years as the Sunday School secretary. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed watching cooking shows on television, reading cook books and preparing meals for her family. She was also an excellent back seat driver!
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Martha Fuller, and sister, Erma Nell Mann.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Floyd Gerald Price of Columbia; two sons, Mike Price (Carmen) of Columbia and Robin Price (Paula) of Brandon; one daughter, Karen Carlisle (Phillip) of Hattiesburg; seven grandchildren, Sherry Mills (Adam) of Columbia, Erin Little (Murph) of Hattiesburg, Cory Price (Tricia), Kyle Price and Chase Price, all of Brandon, Lauren Houston (Blake) of Petal and Layton Carlisle of Hattiesburg, and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Cory Price, Kyle Price, Chase Price, Layton Carlisle, Adam Mills and Murph Little.
Memorial donations may be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church Parsonage fund.
