Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, at Colonial Funeral Home for Charles A. Goar, 78, of Columbia, who died on Sunday, Sept. 3, in Hattiesburg. Interment followed in Hopewell Cemetery. Bro. Dale Broom officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. until the time of the services on Monday, Sept. 4, at Colonial Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jill Goar; son, Tim Goar; stepson, David Goar; parents, Lonzo and Lavaudia Goar, and all of his sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Goar; daughter, Pamela Goar of Columbia; stepdaughter, Vicki Powe (Steve) of Hattiesburg; son, Terry Wayne Goar of Foxworth; stepson, Dennis Goar (Connie) of Columbia; brother, Royce Goar (Charlene) of Columbia; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
