Funeral services were at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Foxworth for Faye H. Statham, 77, of Columbia, who died on Wednesday, Dec. 6, in Columbia. Burial followed in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Dudley Williamson officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, at Colonial Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday, Dec. 8, at Shiloh Baptist Church.
A native of Marion County, she was a retired inspector with Rutter Rex in Columbia and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Foxworth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Letha Hunt; sister, Mary Jean Sartin, and brothers, Robert Hunt and Harold Louis Hunt.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Garner of Foxworth; two sisters, Hazel Ryals and Minnie Belle Broom, both of Columbia; two brothers, Chester Hunt of Decatur, Ill. and George Hunt of California; two grandchildren, Justin Garner and Preston Garner; and three great-grandchildren, Elexis Connett, Dakota Garner and Nolan Garner, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
