Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017, in Hulett Winstead Chapel in Purvis for Frances Elliott Pearce, 92, of Columbia, who died on Saturday, July 22, at her residence. Interment followed in Coaltown Cemetery. The Rev. James Carney, Dr. Bryant Barnes and the Rev. Jerron Carney officiated at the services.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Columbia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Pearce; son, Mack Pearce; great-granddaughter, Madeleine Pearce, and five brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Marcia Pearce Owens (Chuck) of Columbia; daughter-in-law, Renee Pearce of Purvis; sister, Katie Elliott Evans of Purvis; granddaughter, Breann Owens of Columbia; two grandsons, McKay Pearce (Melissa) of Ellisville and Russell Pearce (Amy) of Sumrall; six great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
