Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, at Crossroads Church of God in Foxworth for Joe Turnage, 73, of Kokomo, who died on Sunday, Aug. 13, in Hattiesburg. Interment followed in Turnage Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Lane Turnage and Bro. Tommy Pittman officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Crossroads Church of God in Foxworth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carley Delane and Elizabeth Turnage; brothers, Charles Turnage, Sam Turnage, Sedworth Turnage, Billy Turnage, Leroy Turnage and Henry Turnage and sisters, Josie Borne, Charlene Smith and Catheline Morris.
Survivors include a son, Billy Turnage (Dawn); brother, Tom Turnage; grandchildren, Ashley Guy (Brett), Michael Turnage and MaKanize Fielder; sister-in-law, Margie Turnage; nephews, Lane Turnage (Lisa), Drew Reagan and Tyler Turnage and nieces, Melissa Turnage, Lacey Turnage and Debbie Reagan (Chad).
Pallbearers were Tyler Turnage, Chad Reagan, Michael Turnage, Lane Turnage, Brett Guy and Robert Turnage.
