A celebration of life memorial service was held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Bassfield for Mrs. Jimmie Ruth Robbins, 94, of Bassfield, who died on Friday, June 5 in Collins. Burial followed in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Donnie Broom officiated at the services. Special music was provided by Mr. Trenton Williamson. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until the time of the services on Tuesday, June 5 at the Ebenezer Baptist Church.
She was born on May 16, 1926, in Railroad Camp. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Bassfield.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Louis D. Robbins; one son, Jimmy Louis Robbins; parents, Jimmy and Zora Gaddis Davis, and 12 siblings.
Survivors include one son, William E. “Bill” Robbins (Mary) of Madison; one daughter, Linda Sue Broom of Sumrall; one brother, John Davis of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
