Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Colonial Funeral Home for Reble T. Kemp, 97, of Kokomo, who died on Sunday, July 16, in Columbia. Interment followed in Holly Springs Cemetery. The Rev. Randall McKay and the Rev. Darren Powell officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Monday, July 17, at Colonial Funeral Home.
A native of Marion County, she was a homemaker and a member of Pine Grove United Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Kemp; daughter, Dorothy Juanice Dunaway; son, Larry Kemp; grandchildren, Joey Dunaway, Faith Dunaway and Abel Kemp; parents, Ado and Etha Beard Thornhill; sisters, Helen Spiers, Wilma McKenzie, May Pittman and Ruby Morgan and brother, Mason Thornhill.
Survivors include her two sisters, Norma Fern Butler and Grace Ginn; seven grandchildren, Lisa Crump, Jan McCain, Kim Baughman, Chris Dunaway, Shanna Graves, Leaha Kemp and Laila Kemp; 15 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.
