Services were held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at Calvary Tabernacle Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in New Orleans, La. and at noon on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at Blue Springs Christian Methodist Episcopal Church for Mrs. Willie Mae Smith Barnes, 72, of New Orleans, La., who died on Saturday, Dec. 9, in New Orleans, La. Burial followed in Wheeler Cemetery in Bassfield. The Rev. Duane Hills Sr. and Elder Eddie Dixon officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until the time of the services on Friday, Dec. 15, at Calvary Tabernacle Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in New Orleans, La. and from 10 a.m. until the time of the services on Saturday, Dec. 16, at Blue Springs Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.
