Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jefferson of Columbia along with Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Campbell of Bay Springs announce the upcoming marriage of their children, Jasmine Ra’cquel Jefferson and Sgt. Devin D’Von Campbell.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Honeycutt and the late Mrs. Virginia Jefferson and Mr. Robert Newsome. She is a 2010 graduate of Columbia High School, 2012 graduate of Jones County Junior College with an Associate Degree and 2017 graduate of the University of Southern Miss with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She is currently employed by C-Spire in Columbia. She is very active in her church and enjoys using her gift of music ministry by playing the drums in several local churches. In her leisure time, she enjoys sports, traveling and enhancing young lives by serving as a positive role model for children.
The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Alice Ducksworth and the late Mr. Artis Evans Sr. and Mrs. Mary Lewis and the late Mr. Roy Campbell. He is a 2010 graduate of Bay Springs High School. Following graduation, he joined the Mississippi National Guard. He later attended Basic Training in Ft. Jackson, S.C. and Advanced Individual Training in Petroleum and Water at Quartermaster School in Ft. Lee, Va. He earned his E5 Rank in 2016 by completing Warrior Leader Courses at Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg. He is currently employed by Sand-Pro Logistics in Odessa, Texas.
The wedding will be celebrated at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, at The Barn at Bridlewood in Hattiesburg. Following their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Columbia.
