The Columbia 7u all-stars had a brief run in the state tournament in Cleveland and were eliminated after just two games.
The 7u squad opened the tournament Friday night with a 6-3 loss to Pike County and was eliminated Saturday morning with a 6-5 loss to Natchez.
Head coach Jacob Harrison said that while the all-stars didn’t fare well in the tournament, it’s not about wins and losses.
“I’ve been excited to be a part of it, and hopefully we’ve made an impact. For the boys it’s all about their growth as young men and ball players, and I’m proud of the effort the effort they put into preparing,” he said. “It just wasn’t our day.”
