County’s cases hit 5

Marion County is up to five identified cases of coronavirus as the count continues to grow throughout Mississippi and the nation.

By press time Tuesday, the state had 937 confirmed cases and 20 deaths. In one week the number of cases has jumped by more than 600 in the state.

COVID-19 Update: Marion County up to 6 cases

As the new numbers were released this morning, Marion County is now up to six cases of COVID-19.

The Mississippi cases have increased by 136 cases in the last 24 hours to 1,073 with two additional deaths (22 overall). The two deaths were reported in Holmes and Humphreys counties, and Jasper County reported it first case.
