Glyn Belton Porter has lived a life of adventure, including when he served in World War II in the U.S. Navy. Porter was on the Landing Ship Mediums 421 and 270, which were amphibious assault ships that transported troops and equipment to the shores.

Morgan provides legislative update

The Mississippi Legislature has adjourned its session until at least April 1.

State Rep. Ken Morgan, R-Morgantown, said the session was adjourned subject to call, which means they could get called back at any moment but he felt like it would be at least a couple of weeks.
