Taking home the Encore Rehabilitation, Inc. Breakout Star of the Year is West Marion’s Sam Smith, who won by the widest margin out of any baseball award winner. The sidearm pitcher tossed 54 1/3 innings in his first varsity season, striking out 50 batters against 35 walks with a 3.87 ERA in 23 appearances.
