Is America at a Crossroads between “E Pluribus Unum” and Damnatio Memoriae?” What happened to “E Pluribus Unum” (out of many, one); our national motto engraved in our hearts, collective memory, and on the Great Seal of the United States? Should it be replaced with the ancient Roman Senate’s “Damnatio Memoriae: (condemnation of memory)?
