Amanda Katelyn Herrington of Picayune, Miss., daughter of Kevin and Jan Herrington, and James Ryan Ellis of Columbia, Miss., son of Richard and Karen Ellis, were married aboard the Disney Wish with Disney Cruise Line on February 1, 2025, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
When planning their wedding, they wanted a celebration that felt joyful, meaningful and centered on spending time together. Choosing a cruise wedding allowed them to blend their love of Disney and travel with the simple blessing of slowing down and being present with the people they love most.
Amanda and Ryan married in the Grand Hall Atrium aboard the ship, a breathtaking space adorned with a grand chandelier, fairy tale castle backdrop and Cinderella’s glass slipper. As the ceremony began, fellow cruisers paused along the banisters to watch. The smiles and applause added an unexpected sweetness to the already magical moment.
The reception followed onboard at The Bayou, where beautiful magnolias overhead offered a tender nod to their Mississippi home. Amanda and Ryan celebrated, danced and enjoyed every moment with their family and friends. When the reception came to a close, the celebration didn’t end. It simply carried on at sea, giving everyone time to relax, reconnect and enjoy the Bahamas! Rather than limiting the celebration to a single evening, Amanda and Ryan spent several days sailing alongside family and friends. Shared meals, shows, fireworks and sunset views became some of the most meaningful memories of the weekend.
After returning to Orlando, Amanda and Ryan continued the celebration at Walt Disney World, capturing wedding portraits as the first guests welcomed into Magic Kingdom that morning. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a joyful way to bring their wedding celebration to a close.
For Amanda and Ryan, the wedding and time onboard were everything they had dreamed of. It was an unforgettable start to their life together and experience they will forever treasure.
