Multi-talented co-valedictorian has her sights set high

In an interesting twist for Columbia High School, the top two students in its graduation Class of 2024 ended in a tie and have been named co-valedictorians. It was something Raelyn Powell never anticipated, but she takes a lot of pride in being at the top of her class.

Gospel concert coming to Columbia on May 25

Marion County is set to host a gospel concert in late May that organizers hope will be the beginning of something special. The Memorial Day Weekend Gospel Jubilee will be hosted May 25 at the Columbia Academy Fine Arts Building and will feature a trio of talented and respected gospel quartets.
