Work to replace both bridges on U.S. 98 that connect Columbia to Foxworth and go over the Pearl River recently began, and traffic was rerouted on Monday morning at 10. There are multiple facets to the federally-funded $57.7 million project, which is currently projected to be completed in September 2026, weather permitting.
