Lady Wildcats, Wildcats earn key district wins

With postseason play right around the corner, the Columbia Lady Wildcats and Wildcats are gearing up for stiff competition in the Region 7-4A tournament. Both squads made progress towards their desired tournament seeding on Friday with victories over Purvis, with the Lady Wildcats winning 69-55 and the Wildcats winning 53-41.

Lady Wildcats rolling through region play

The Columbia Lady Wildcats have been on an absolute tear since returning to the court after the holiday break. Friday's 50-30 win at home over Forrest County AHS lifted them to a perfect 6-0 in district play, with only four games remaining between themselves and a No. 1 seed in the MHSAA Class 4A playoffs.
