Construction has begun on a pedestrian bridge that will allow riders on the Marion County Recreational Railroad to walk to the Bluff Street Park overlooking the Pearl River.
The $650,000 project is 100 percent funded by federal grants for alternative transportation projects, engineer Jeff Dungan said.
