Gaqueta "GeeGee" Rechell Alexander died suddenly on Dec. 28, 2021 at the age of 26, and Columbia Mayor Justin McKenzie declared the one year anniversary of her death to be GeeGee's Day in the city of Columbia to encourage everyone to remember her life and the way she showed love and devotion to others.
